A.Arslan ilkçağ felsefe tarihi 3.cilt e bak.Orada Aristoteles'in dil ve dil felsefesiyle ilgili görüşleri var.
- Kierkegaard (24.06.12 19:15:04)
This principle of the arbitrariness of the linguistic sign was not an original conception: Aristotle had noted that 'there can be no natural connection between the sound of any language and the things signified' (cited in Richards 1932, 32).

aristo'nun kategoriler kitabında da şunlar geçiyor:
"Aristotle divides what he calls ta legomena (τἃ λεγόμενα), i.e. things that are said, into ten distinct kinds (1b25). Things that are said according to Aristotle, are words (De Int 16a3).."
"First, his locution ta legomena is in fact ambiguous, as between ‘things said’—where these might or might not be words—and ‘things spoken of’—where these are more naturally taken to be things referred to by means of words"
